connecticut = niagara falls?

just got back from a whirlwind tour of new jersey... (or as new york puts it, "what's that smell?")
530 miles and 13 hours on the road later... we come home. it was a great time spent with family and more distant family. i enjoy being with this side (my dad's side) of the family. very real and down-to-earth. i love being with them.
it sucks that we could only be down there for a day, but work is work, and i can't afford all this time off in one month. (gotta go on vacation too).

anyway, along the way we stopped for some food, once going down and once coming back. both times we encountered some very... loud.... restrooms. so loud, in fact, they sounded like waterfalls. one of which was stuck in that position apparently. ironic that it happened at two separate places.

got my nd ticket lottery results back, and i (and probably a lot of other people with THEIR results) am not pleased. after requesting tickets for 6 games, i "won" tickets to one. uno. 1. definitely looking for more, as i described earlier, i already reserved rooms for 4 weekends this fall, and i already had intentions of going to one game with family and one with friends from work. much remains to be determined with this.

expecting another ridiculously mundane friday at work tomorrow. but like i said earlier, work is work :-D
